The Honeywell HMC6052 is a 2-axis Magneto-Resistive sensor plus amplifiers and analog support features essential for compassing and low magnetic field sensing. The product is offered in a 14-pin surface mount 3.5mm by 3.5mm LCC package. HMC6352 2-Axis
Digital Integrated Compass On-A-Chip Solution
combines a two-axis Magnetoresistive magnetic
field sensor from Honeywell, with the required

Dead Reckoning Navigation
| DRM® - III Dead Reckoning Module, Evaluation Kit Available |
|
The Dead Reckoning Module (DRM® - 3) is a miniature, self-contained, electronic navigation unit that provides the user's position relative to an initialization point. The device includes a built in GPS receiver. A microprocessor performs dead reckoning calculations and includes a Kalman filter to combine the dead reckoning data with GPS data. The Kalman filter and other proprietary algorithms use GPS data to calibrate dead reckoning sensors for typical dead reckoning accuracy of 2 to 5 per cent of distance traveled from the last position fix, entirely without GPS. The evaluation kit includes test software and is supplied in a housing with belt clip, re-chargeable Li-Ion battery, and charger. These devices are intended for use by personnel on foot, and are not for use on vehicles. |

| DRMcoreTM Dead Reckoning Module |

The DRMcoreTM contains the core functions of a DRM®. It includes the same navigation algorithms and Kalman filter as the DRM-3. Functions provided include 2-dimensional horizontal navigation, and compass azimuth. DRMcoreTM does not include an altimeter or GPS receiver on the circuit module, but will accept external GPS position input, derived from a user's GPS receiver. Calibration after integration with other electronics during product manufacturing is required. These devices are intended for use by personnel on foot, and are not for use on vehicles. |

| GyroDRMTM Dead Reckoning Module Evaluation Kit |
|
The GyroDRMTM is a gyro-aided dead reckoning module for personnel on foot, based on the DRM®-3. The GyroDRMTM includes all the features of the DRM®-3, including the GPS receiver and altimeter. The single axis gyro reduces the sensitivity of the unit to transient magnetic disturbances in the environment. It provides reliable, self-contained position data when navigating in areas where GPS signals are difficult to receive. GyroDRMTM includes data logging memory with storage capability of up to 32K data records. An external event marker push-button is provided to simply data collection. Log files may be easily downloaded to a computer and analyzed using standard spreadsheet programs. The evaluation kit includes test software and is supplied in a housing with belt clip, re-chargeable Li-Ion battery, and charger. |
