| MINNEAPOLIS, MN, September 9, 2005 - Honeywell has announced the Vehicle Navigation Unit, a complete navigation subsystem, now ready for application on many types of wheeled land vehicles. The VNU™ is designed to operate where GPS alone is inadequate Applications include light, tactical military vehicles, public transportation, hazardous material transport, and police and fire vehicles. |

| The integrated GPS/dead reckoning system includes a digital compass, a triad of silicon MEMS accelerometers, a barometric accelerometer, a silicon MEMS rate gyro, an odometer sensor interface, and a GPS receiver all in a unified electronics package. This affordable navigation product does not need to rely on map matching. |

- Continuous vehicle location with or without GPS
- Proven technology
- Sensor-based horizontal position and altitude data, designed to supplement GPS
- Static Azimuth (magnetic or true)
- Simple compass calibration
- Pitch and roll angle.
