MINNEAPOLIS, MN, September 9, 2005 - Honeywell’s new DRM®-3 Dead Reckoning Module Engineering Tools are complete kits for trying out and demonstrating the DRM® dead reckoning module. The DRM®-3 provides continuous personnel position location with or without GPS. It is unaffected by urban canyons, nearby buildings, heavy foliage, or other situations which interfere with GPS. It also works inside many buildings.

The DRM®-3 Engineering Evaluation Kit features lightweight standard plastic housing with a belt clip. DRM®-3 host software is Windows based and includes both a test and demo program plus scalable real-time graphic display. Battery, charger, and active L1 GPS antenna are also included.

The DRM®-3 Data Logger Kit includes a waterproof aluminum housing which is submersible to a depth of one meter for an indefinite period. A pressure equalization port provides sensing for the barometric altimeter. The data logging memory stores data records up to 32K.

The Software Development Kit features tested source code modules for Windows environments. The modules are licensed individually. The calibration module provides manual DRM® calibration and operation without GPS, and map interface provides relative and absolute bearing.
