Honeywell
Introduces Three-Axis Magnetic Sensor
Low Cost Solution for Low Field Magnetic Sensing
Applications |
| |
| MINNEAPOLIS,
Minnesota, May 15, 2002 - Honeywell [NYSE:HON]
today introduced the HMC1053 three-axis magnetic
sensor. The HMC1053 senses earth's magnetic
field and is considered an excellent choice
for low cost, high volume, magnetic sensing
situations where miniature size is critical
to the product's design. Compassing and navigation
applications like diver's watches and GPS
antennas are typical uses. |
| |
| Contained
in a miniature (7.4 x 7.4 x 2.5mm) 16-pin
Leadless Chip Carrier (LCC) package, the HMC1053
design positions the magnetoresistive chips
for orthogonal, three-axis sensing. This new
three-axis sensor is capable of sensing fields
below 0.1 milligauss and offers users reliable
compassing accuracy. The sensors are able
to convert magnetic fields to differential
output voltages. |
| |
| Honeywell's
complete family of magnetic sensor-based products
offer high sensitivity for accurate compassing,
remote vehicle detection monitoring, virtual
reality, position sensing, security systems
and medical instrumentation. For more information
regarding our HMC1053 three-axis magnetic
sensor or other Honeywell magnetic sensor
products, visit Honeywell's web site at www.magneticsensors.com. |
