Honeywell's HMC1041Z 1-Axis Magnetic Sensor

Honeywell introduces the HMC1041Z, a surface mount option magnetic sensor designed for low field magnetic sensing. The miniature size and low-height profile (1.05mm) of this magnetoresistive sensor make it ideal for portable, small products like hand-held devices requiring extremely small sensors.

By adding the HMC1041Z to other 2-axis magneto-resistive sensors, a cost effective and space-efficient 3-axis magnetometer or compassing solution is enabled. This compact, low cost solution is easy to assemble for high volume, cost effective OEM designs. Applications for the HMC1041Z include compasses included in cell phones, hand held GPS, watches and automobiles.
